Just in case your quest to find true love is so immediately intense, there are apps you can download to your smart phone.

Waiting for a meeting to start, waiting in the doctor's office or (if you just can't find anything to read) in the bathroom- there's an app.

These apps are built solely to be apps and not in connection to websites. Most are free (no price tag on love) but they do have upgrades available, for a slight charge.

There is even an app which gives a gps coordinate for others in your area who are looking for love. Every stalker or rapist's dream - "but your honor, she told me exactly where she was..." Although the app doesn't give names or descriptions, finding the person is just a matter of reading the treasure map.

These apps are also different from mobile websites (which I will cover another time) because they don't allow for all the screening of people you wish to connect with therefore, be ready for more than the usual amount of unfavorable characters. Estimate a ratio of 1:40. One person out of 40 will be actually someone you would consider dating material. 

Be careful with these apps please my friends, read the fine print and do your homework on the app. Because some, even though the download is free, charge for texting or emailing results to you. They may also sell your email address with the innocent question "would you mind if we contact you occasionally news on upgrades or other specials?" This is code for "get ready to be spammed".

So if you don't mind any of the negative aspects to the apps, download away. Just remember, there hasn't been an app called "I can't believe that happened, now what am I gonna do?"
